Motivational Speaker of the Day: As promised, Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor showed up at Oxford University to speak before students at the Oxford Union’s grand hall.
With busts and portraits of world leaders staring at his nape, the 37-year-old Taylor — who never graduated from high school — told attendees “Too many people try to go for things that they’d like to do but they’re not realistic enough to know they don’t have the talent.”
After he wrapped it up, several students gathered around him. “I didn’t know what to expect, and he kind of blew me away,” said 20-year-old Oxford chemistry major Elisey Kobzev. “I thought he was bloody awesome.”

Ugh, why are you so cool?
It’s not every day a prestigious university asks a member of a metal band to speak to their students. Gotta give Oxford props for choosing Corey Taylor.
